How it works
The marshmallow, plum and mallow promote intestinal transit. In particular, the latter promotes the normal volume and consistency of the stool.
Lactylol / Mannitol: these sugars have a particular structure such as to pass through the gastric and intestinal environments unaltered, thus reaching the colon.
At this level, lactic and acetic acids are fermented by the local bacterial flora, which cause an increase in osmotic pressure and a consequent recall of water, useful for hydrating the faeces and facilitating their evacuation.
The laxative effect is also associated with a direct action of these acids on the intestinal mucosa, allowing an increase in peristalsis and improving defecatory capacity.
The induction of fermentation makes them prebiotic substances, because they are able to support the growth of the resident intestinal flora, to the detriment of the potentially dangerous putrefactive one.
